The WebEdit product now encompasses fully automatic picture resizing, zoom and placement, email broadcasting directly from your website and email capture. With further plans of expansion, SMC Wholesale of Marsh Barton in Exeter are planning to take Europe buy storm with the help of marketing and web technology company Spoton of Torquay.

SMC Wholesale started 25 years ago by Frank Scriven, who began by selling kitchen fittings from the back of a van. In the years that followed, SMC moved to Marsh Barton and with an expanding portfolio of products developed a name for being specialists in melamine, plastic and wood veneer edging tape.

SMC is now the UK’s leading edgebanding supplier. Successful marketing and a new image has increased visibility within the UK and helped create lucrative Irish contracts responsible for over 50% of turnover.

“We needed a change of image, the website and logo were dated and did not suggest the sort of company we wanted to present to the world. We contacted Spoton Corporation and they came up with some great ideas. Based around a new logo and colour scheme, the concept was of a modern, forward thinking company.
