The Little Theatre in Torquay has launched its new website built and designed by Spoton Corporation.
The Little Theatre promises to be a great night out with something to entertain everyone, from well-known classics, thrillers & comedies to groundbreaking works, which offer challenges to audiences & performers alike. With productions such as The Full Monty, The Cemetery Club, Rumors and A Streetcar Named Desire there is truly something for everyone.
Winner of the English Riviera’s “Best Night Out in Torbay” award in 2005 and 2006, the Little Theatre also offers gourmet dinning in the bistro, with tables available for pre and post performance meals.
The Little Theatre is run mostly by volunteers and is home to Toads Theatre Company who raised the £250,000 needed to secure and renovate the redundant church in St Marks Road, Meadfoot, in 1982.
Since then The Little Theatre has become a favorite for locals and holidaymakers, who like the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the unique theatrical environment.
Toads Theatre Company sought the advice of Spoton Corporation who produced the site at a heavily subsidised cost. Marketing and Sales Manager of Spoton Michelle Cummings said “We have been working with the Little Theatre now for over a year and have designed and produced all their posters and leaflets. They came to us asking for a new website that would improve their online presence and aid with their marketing. Being a company where the performance programme is constantly changing, they couldn’t have an old style static website so opted for the WebEdit functionality which gives them the option to change images and text with the click of a button. I feel it is very important that we should support local businesses as much as we can”
Sarah O’Connor, Manager of The Little Theatre said, “I would like to thank Spoton for their help and advice to raise the profile of the theatre. If anyone has not yet been to see a production here they really should give it a try. It is a unique venue and the standard of performance here is exceptionally high. We are the only theatre in the Bay to offer such a regular programme of plays, from both amateur companies and visiting professional companies. At The Little Theatre you will find a range of productions throughout the year, which will captivate and inspire audiences of all ages.”
